SilentSuite v0.2.0-beta: Collections, Bitcoin Payments, and Android App Improvements

SilentSuite is a zero-knowledge sync suite for calendars, contacts, and tasks. Your devices encrypt and decrypt locally; the server stores ciphertext and never sees your plaintext. Keys stay on-device.

What is New in v0.2.0-beta

New Feature: Collections for Calendars, Contacts, and Tasks

  • Multiple calendars, address books, and task lists now sync as separate encrypted collections.
  • Calendar, contact, and task sidebars now preserve collection names, colors, and visibility.
  • Imports can target the right collection instead of falling back to a default.
  • Deleted or missing collections are reconciled more safely during sync.
  • Collection color editing now works across calendars, contacts, and tasks.
  • Stable iCalendar/vCard component UIDs are preserved better, improving compatibility with DAV clients and Tasks.org-style task sync.

Improved: Better Android App

  • Android can now export calendar, task, contact, or full ZIP backups from locally available decrypted data.
  • Sync and account screens have clearer loading, empty, connected, and error states.
  • Android signup return handling is more reliable after moving between the app, web signup, and payment pages.
  • Launcher icons, store graphics, screenshots, and app branding were refreshed with the current arrows-only SilentSuite identity.

Added: Bitcoin and Lightning Payments

  • Annual plan signup can use Bitcoin and Lightning through BTCPay.
  • The web flow now shows BTCPay payment details inline.
  • Users can still open BTCPay directly if they prefer the full BTCPay checkout page.

Misc: Docs, README, and Branding

  • README now explains the zero-knowledge model more directly.
  • AI usage is disclosed in the README.
  • Docs better explain Android install options, DAV bridge clients, encryption, import/export, and self-hosting.
  • Branding was refreshed across the web app, docs, README, Android icons, favicons, and release graphics.
